EN 10219 and EN 10210 ERW Pipe are European standards for steel pipe products. Both have high quality standards and are widely used internationally. Both certifications are considered to be required when manufacturing and selling steel pipe products. This article aims to introduce the significance of products obtaining these two certifications and the benefits of these standards for the production and use of steel pipe products.

The EN 10219 certification was developed by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN) and covers cold-formed or unheat-treated welded steel pipe products for structural use. These steel pipe products include square tubes, rectangular tubes, round tubes, etc., which are commonly used in various fields such as construction, machinery manufacturing, and line towers. These products belong to the category of building materials in the European Union and are regulated by specific directives under the CE mark, namely CPR-Regulation (EU) No 305/2011. EN 10219 certification ensures the quality of these products, including dimensional accuracy, mechanical properties, chemical composition, tensile strength, bending properties and impact toughness.

The EN10219 standard is divided into two parts:

  1. EN 10219-1: Cold-formed welded hollow steel tubes made of non-alloy and fine-grained steel, Part 1 - Technical delivery conditions. This version of the standard (EN 10219-1:2006) has replaced the old version (EN 10219-1:1997).

  2. EN 10219-2: The second part of the standard for cold-formed welded hollow steel tubes made of non-alloy and fine-grained steel is not mentioned in detail in the current information.

Similar to EN 10219 certification, EN 10210 certification is also developed by the European Committee for Standardization (CEN), which is a certification for hot-formed welded products of steel tubes. These steel pipe products are also used in many fields such as construction, machinery manufacturing, and line towers, and are usually used to support important structures such as bridges, buildings, and pipelines. The quality standards of EN 10210 certification cover important aspects such as product dimensional accuracy, bending radius, mechanical properties, tensile strength, and impact toughness, ensuring the quality and safety of these products.

For companies that want to obtain EN 10219 and EN 10210 EU certification, they need to ensure that their products meet the requirements of this standard and pass relevant tests and evaluations. The certification process may involve multiple aspects of the product, such as materials, structure, performance, etc., to ensure that its quality and safety meet EU standards and regulations.

Obtaining EN 10219 and EN 10210 certification has many benefits for steel pipe product manufacturers and traders. These certifications ensure that the quality of the manufactured products meets high standards, enhancing brand image and credibility. Obtaining these certifications can help companies gain more opportunities in the international market. The building codes of many countries and regions have specific requirements for steel pipe products, and EN 10219 and EN 10210 certifications can make it easier for companies' products to be recognized in these international markets.

EN 10219 and EN 10210 ERW Steel Pipe certifications are two important certification standards for European steel pipe products. They ensure that the products produced have advantages in high quality, reliability, stability and other aspects in many aspects. For the production and use of steel pipe products, obtaining these certifications is of great significance, which can improve the market competitiveness and image of enterprises and products, and also gain more opportunities in the international market.

(SMLS pipe) is a type of pipe produced without welds by deforming the metal as a whole using piercing and rolling techniques. Compared to welded steel pipe, its core advantage stems from the continuity of the material and the uniformity of its structure, providing superior reliability and safety under high pressure, high temperature, and complex stress environments. This makes seamless steel pipe a fundamental and reliable material in the petroleum, chemical, natural gas, and power industries for critical processes and the transportation of hazardous media.

Seamless Carbon Steel Pipe Sch 40 (Schedule 40) is a seamless steel pipe specification that meets the American standard. Its pipe wall thickness is Sch40 (corresponding to the standard wall thickness series), which represents the standard wall thickness under a specific pressure level and is often used in occasions with higher pressure and temperature.

Schedule 80 Carbon Steel Pipe is made up of carbon steel materials. The carbon steels can vary in composition based on the grades. The strengths and the toughness vary. To have an international and equal identification of the pressure capacities of the pipes, the schedule scale is used. The wall thickness grades of the steel pipe range from Schedule (SCH) 5 to Schedule (SCH) 160. SCH 5 has the lowest pressure resistance, while SCH 160 has the highest.
