The steel pipe manufacturer will introduce to you the production process and steps of ASTM A213 316Ti stainless steel seamless pipe as follows

1、 The production steps of ASTM A213 316Ti stainless steel seamless pipe:

  1. Select high-quality and up to standard 304 and 316L stainless steel raw material pipe blanks, and perform operations such as punching, punching, and annealing.

  2. After completing the above operations, the multi pass cold drawing (cold rolling) process is immediately followed. The cold rolling of pipes is carried out on a multi roll rolling mill, while stainless steel pipes are rolled in a circular pass formed by a variable cross-section circular groove and a fixed conical top.

  3. After cold rolling, ASTM A213 stainless steel seamless steel pipes will have a high yield coefficient and are not suitable for expansion, bending, and other phenomena. In order to meet the hygiene standard of stainless steel pipes, the cold rolled pipes need to undergo steps such as bright annealing, demagnetization, acid washing, and straightening.

  5. The acid washing process of ASTM A213 316Ti stainless steel pipes can remove oil stains, rust spots, welding spots, oxide layers, free iron and other dirt on the surface of the workpiece while passivating. After treatment, the surface becomes uniformly silver white, while preventing metal corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement, and suppressing the generation of acid mist.

  6. After the above process, the next step for ASTM A213 316Ti stainless steel pipes is the polishing process. The standard number of polishing mesh for the inner and outer walls of the pipes is 400 mesh. The surface smoothness of the inner and outer surfaces of the pipes after polishing can reach the mirror standard (i.e. the hygiene standard).

  7. After polishing, the ASTM A213 316Ti stainless steel pipe needs to undergo internal inspection by a metal testing machine (or water pressure test) and strict manual selection by the steel pipe quality inspector. Only qualified products can be packaged and shipped out of the factory.

2、 The production process of ASTM A213 316Ti stainless steel seamless pipe.

  Production process: 1. Steelmaking → 2. Rolling round steel (peeling) → 3. Piercing (annealing) → 4. Cold drawing → 5. Cold rolling (annealing, demagnetization, acid washing, cleaning) → 6. Inner wall polishing (400 mesh) → 7. Outer wall polishing (400 mesh) → 8. Air pressure testing → 9. Surface testing → 10. Labeling and certification → 11. Packaging → 12. Shipping

ASTM A213 stainless steel seamless pipe can be seamlessly processed by hot rolling or cold rolling. Hebei Shengtian Pipe Fittings Group Co., Ltd. has a large inventory of ASTM A213 316Ti stainless steel seamless pipe. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at [email protected]

Nov .26.2024
ANSI seamless steel pipe‌ is a kind of seamless steel pipe produced in accordance with the standards of the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). The expression methods of its wall thickness grade series vary in different implementation standards. ANSI seamless steel pipes can withstand ultra-high pressure and are designed according to pressure requirements. They are usually used in high-temperature and high-pressure equipment such as high-pressure oil pipes and boiler tubes.

API 5L Gr.B Sch 40 and Sch 80 pipe most commonly used pipe schedule (SCH) is a measure of a steel pipe’s nominal wall thickness. In the past, metal fabricators used three pipe dimensions — standard, extra strong, and double extra strong. Just having these three undetermined dimensions wasn’t helpful, though. So today, steel pipes come in 14 different schedules.
